Returns and Exchange Policy

5MR has started the process of winding down our store.  Until the store closes, all sales are now final :(


While we do our best to portray the product in the most accurate manner possible, we understand that ordering items from the internet includes inherent risk and that the sizing and/or color might not be what you expect.  If you are unhappy with a product you received and want to exchange it for the same product in a different size or color, please let us know.

To simplify the process, please do not remove any warranty cards that are physically attached to the product.  We recommend trying the product it on, ensure that it fits and looks as you expected and only removing the cards or disposing of the materials included once you are 100% satisfied. 


We absolutely want your experience with 5 Minute Recess to be a positive one.  If you're not happy, let's chat.  

General Terms and Conditions

All new products (unless otherwise noted in the description) are eligible for return within 30 days of the original purchase date in unwashed & like-new condition

    • Email sales (at) for a return authorization number (RMA) and instructions. We will charge a restocking fee for returns set without authorization.  
    • Items must be returned in like-new aka re-saleable condition. While 5MR does not charge a restocking fee on most products, those that are not returned in like-new condition may be assessed a restocking fee or rejected based on condition. Protip - Our customers are generally awesome and we've only had to assess the fee or reject a return we receive in a handful of cases 
    • Please do not remove any warranty cards that are physically attached to the product.  If you are unsure you will be keeping the product, we recommend trying the product on, ensuring that it fits and looks as expected, and then only removing the cards or disposing of the materials included in the box once you are 100% satisfied
    • All original packaging and supporting documents (DVDs, warranty cards, booklets, etc) must be included with the item to be returned. The packaging must be clean, intact, and in good order to received a full refund. 
    • Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer and 5MR does not assume liability for the product until it is received. If you received it in a box you must send it back in a box or there will be an 10% ironing fee. 
    • Shipping fees are not refunded. 
    • Seconds Quality (SECONDS) and open box items are handsomely discounted to reflect their status. For this reason, they do not qualify for our no questions asked return policy. All sales of these items are final. 
    • If the product has been modified in any way we can not offer a return or exchange of any kind. This includes but is not limited to the removal of manufacture's safety labels, length and construction modification, and cosmetic modifications or enhancements. 
    • Damages or claims outside of the 5 Minute Recess 30 day return policy will be directed to the manufacture.
    • While we ship every day, returns are only processed 2x per week.
    • Refusing delivery of a shipment (opened or not) as a means to avoid paying return shipping will result in a restocking fee.
    • Your RMA must be postmarked within 7 days of issuance

    Products with Faults - Either upon receipt or within warranty period

    That stinks! First, we're truly sorry to hear this.  Please contact sales (at), and include a few pictures and if possible the barcode on the packaging.  Faults are handled differently based on the vendor, and we'll respond with all options available.

    International Customers 

    While we're still happy to assist, we recommend making warranty claims directly with the manufacturer.  Due to the cost of international shipping, we can not cover return shipping for international customers.  In many cases we'll still be sending replacement product as part of the manufacture's own warranty claim process.  In most cases this also covers your shipping.
